Doula care made for you.
Each person, each pregnancy, and each family is unique. At Born Anew, we meet you exactly where you’re at with respect and warmth. With services, prices, and flexibility that reflects that doula care is something everyone should have access to. How can a doula help you?
Doulas should be viewed as a valuable, evidence-based member of your care team

The main pillars of doula support, simplified.
The biggest question I get asked is, “what does a doula do?”
Here is the break down:
Physical
Positions and massage
Doulas use many different hands-on tools and techniques to help you ease through labor and maintain a soothing environment. A key part of my work is to help your partner feel more confident in supporting you in this area too!
Emotional
Reassurance and empowerment
I will be there with you from start to finish, helping you stay positive, reminding you of your power, and helping you debrief after birth.
Informational
Resources and techniques
Doulas help you find reliable, evidence-based information for all things pregnancy, birth, and beyond as well as suggesting techniques like breathing and visualization.
Guiding You Through Birth and Beyond

Anna Harris
Full-Spectrum Doula Student
I am the founder of Born Anew, a nursing student and I am currently completing my Labor & Postpartum Doula and Lactation Support and Educator Certifications.
My Mission
I have always had a great appreciation for the process of pregnancy and childbirth, and a passion for helping others. While in my Bachelors of Science in Nursing program, I learned about doulas and midwives while doing research about racial disparities in birth. I immediately knew that I wanted to dedicate my career to improving health outcomes for all mothers and birthing people, but especially women of color.
My Vision
I envision a world where everyone has access to a doula, to education on the natural process of birth, and to evidence-based care from their providers. Everyone should be able to attempt the birth they desire when it is safe to do so, and should feel comfortable and confident enough in their education to say “no” when faced with unnecessary and unwelcome interventions. My goal as your doula is to ensure that you walk into birth saying, “I can do this!” my goal is not for you to walk away from birth saying, “I couldn’t have done it without her”. Because really, that power was always inside of you.
My Values
I value holistic, evidence-based care centered on respect, empathy, and inclusivity. I believe it is my duty as a birth worker to protect, value, and amplify the voices and desires of my clients to ensure they have the best possible birth and postpartum.
